5 Tips for a Chic Western Wedding
Choosing a Western Theme for your wedding can quickly turn into a theme party, but it's also such a beautiful and simple way to create the perfect day - how do you keep the balance?! Here are tips to keeping a Western themed wedding chic and gorgeous!
1. Choose the Gown YOU WANT
No worries about choosing a gown that fits the theme because adding details to set the tone is simple. Choose what you feel beautiful and comfortable in! Then add some accessories to tie it all together from there. This Casablanca Bridal gown "Freesia" caught my eye for this blog because of the details in the fabric and the ultra flatting lines.
And I know you're going to say, "WOAH MEG, pigtails?" But look at this image! Can't you just see these undone, grown-up pigtails with your wedding gown and veil!?
Now add these earrings and you've got yourself a an edgy chic western look! The Calliope Earrings remind me of ropes, ladders, and fences which makes them perfect!
2. Keep Your Bridesmaids Edgy
These maids can get cutesy real fast. Go with a sun dress that's contemporary and beautiful and again, tie in the theme with the accessories. I love this Anthropolgie sundress for it's fun colors and easy style.
3. Definitely a Veil
This pretty silk chiffon veil has a little more substance to it to stand up to those country breezes. It also adds a dimension of texture to your look because it's more opaque than a traditional net veil.
4. Balanced Details
Reign yourself in on the details - especially is your venue is overtly country. If you're getting married on a ranch in a barn you can leave the boot centerpieces for another day. But if you're in a garden bring on the burlap as a visual reminder of the theme!
5. Easy on the Mason Jars
And burlap and lace. There are many ways to give a western/country vibe without accidentally throwing back to 2010. Try checkered cloths in the just the right places and this gorgeous cake display idea...
